The
National Muslim Business Council, and Masjid Ash-Shaheed
will host the annual "Business Expo Conference 2011",
honoring the late Imam W. D. Mohammed's legacy of economic
development in our community.
The
event will take place April 29 - May 1, 2011, on the grounds
of Masjid Ash-Shaheed, 400 West Sugar Creek Road in
Charolotte, NC. The resident Imam of Masjid Ash-Shaheed
is Imam Khalil Akbar. The National Muslim Business
Council President is David K. Hasan.
The
theme this year is "Building a Balanced Community Through
Economic Development."
Over the
past 35 years, our leader Imam W. D. Mohammed worked
tirelessly, not only teaching us our religion, but also
educating us on the importance of business economics.
When we look back, we can see the impact and influence his
teachings have made on our lives, whether it was going back
to school, starting a business of spending more wisely.
Whatever endeavor, being a student of his teachings has made
a positive impact on our lives.
